Genre:

Historical Romance (Regency)

Title:

A Scandalous Reunion – A woman is reunited with her estranged husband, but how does she explain his presence when she’s been telling everyone she’s a widow. Not one of my better efforts, and still very much a work in progress. Barely scraped past the 50 k my first year, and only did it with the support of the great NaNoWriMo community.

2005 – Failed

Genre:

Historical Romance (Regency)

Title:

The Mysterious Lady Delicia (Working Title) Book 2 in a 3 Book series, 2st book was 2008s Nano effort. Over planned prior to November and the story became too precious, which meant constant editing and perfecting as I wrote. Barely got past 20k.

2006 – Won

Genre:

Historical Romance (Regency)

Title:

Ashes and Belles – Set around Peninsular war, key dates being Battle of Badajoz March-April 1812, the rest then takes place in England. Couple weds before husband goes of to the Peninsular war, in the years he is away they both  face tragedy and have a difficult time relating to each other when they meet again. Just under 70k, another one not completed and not touched since (except to borrow the characters)

Hmm not sure where the banner is, will have a look around.

2007 – Won

Genre:

Supernatural Fantasy

Title:

Coincidences Never Happen – sort of urban fantasy at first, but then the FMC goes through a dimensional rift in the Liverpool tunnels and is transported to her own world where most of the plot and action unfolds. Never finished it, think the end word count was about 60k, though it might have been slightly wrong.

Genre:

Historical Romance (Regency)

Title:

The Lady’s Revenge (working title) – Book 1 in a series of 3 where Book 2 was 2005’s Nano story. Again haven’t got it in front of me but think the word count ended at about 120k. Has since been seriously edited, although still not completed.

NaNoWriMo 2009 Winner!!

Novel ONE

Genre:

Historical Romance

Title:

Carolyn and Her Reluctant Suitor –  while my personal goal for this one was not met it was close at 78,897 word. It had been so very easy in the beginning and then suddenly I hit the wall. I worked past it though and I’m quite pleased with where it went in the end.

Novel TWO

Genre:

Supernatural Fantasy

Title:

Untitled as yet – it’s still untitled I’m afraid, and it was a real stuggle. I mean it got easier as the month went on, ut mostly I just keep writing to reach my goal. It’s not a story I’m going to touch again, althought it gave me other ideas and there are some parts of the story that can be reworked and used in the future so it wasn’t all bad. The finshed wordcount was 51, 131 words.
